It is more than about what you eat – Although your food choices are relevant, “Food is Medicine” – Hippocrates. The food we eat becomes our blood, our cells, our organs, our brain (thoughts and feelings); so making healthful food choices emphasizing nutrient dense whole food can impact our physical and mental health and bring about an outer glow (think healthy fats: salmon, avocado, olive oil, leafy greens, etc.).
The inner glow is about the other aspects of our lives and how fulfilled we are in those areas. Think of the glow that comes when you are walking in your truth, being authentic and at peace with who you are. Think of the glow that comes after physical activity, when you have engaged your body in movement. Think of the glow of pregnancy or how you feel when you gaze at your beloved child. Reflect back on the glow you have when you fall in love, or feel deeply connected in a long-term relationship or friendship. Think of the glow you have when you truly love the work you do, whether it is a career, community or family. Think of the glow you feel when you have a spiritual experience or are surrounded by nature.
